# Smartix Trading Risk Disclosure

Read this document before installing or enabling Smartix.

Smartix automatically opens, manages and closes leveraged XAUUSD positions.
Leveraged gold trading can produce rapid and substantial losses. Losses may
exceed the amount expected by the customer and, depending on the broker and
account agreement, may exceed funds deposited.

## Performance evidence

Any Smartix result labelled backtest, strategy-tester, simulated or
hypothetical was produced from historical data and does not represent actual
trading. Simulated execution cannot fully reproduce liquidity, slippage,
spread expansion, rejected orders, outages, broker rules or the psychological
and financial effects of live losses.

Historical and simulated results do not predict or guarantee future results.
Published figures apply only to their stated version, preset, symbol, broker
conditions, test period, costs and initial balance. A different environment
may produce materially different results.

## Operational risks

Losses or unintended exposure can result from, among other things:

- VPS, internet, price-feed, MetaTrader or broker outages;
- spread expansion, slippage, gaps and insufficient liquidity;
- symbol specifications, trading sessions or server time differing by broker;
- changes to leverage, margin, stop levels, commissions or swaps;
- incorrect installation, duplicate EA instances or modified inputs;
- economic-calendar gaps, software defects or platform updates;
- failure to supervise open positions and account notifications.

Built-in risk controls reduce selected risks; they cannot eliminate market,
execution, technology or counterparty risk.

## Customer responsibilities

The customer should first run Smartix on a demo account, verify the exact
symbol and broker conditions, use only capital they can afford to lose, keep
broker credentials private, monitor the VPS and maintain an independent way
to close positions. The customer alone chooses the account, broker, leverage,
risk settings and whether to trade live.
